You pay very close attention your body because it doesn’t know how to lie to you, and pay very little attention to your mind because it is lying to you all the time
The difference between when someone cares about you and when someone doesn’t is that when they hurt you, and you tell them they hurt you, they adjust and apologize instinctively.
When they do not care, you have to set demands, restrictions, argue and tell them what they need to do.
People may not always know that they hurt you, but they do know what to do once they know.
I’ve come to understand that none of it matters if it doesn’t make you happy and doesn’t bring you peace.
